About Kissingate

Kissingate Brewery started life in 2009 at our private address in Crawley, West Sussex. After years of hobby brewing and balancing a busy career in the print industry it became obvious that brewing had a stronger calling. Our journey started when we purchased an American 1bbl system built by Blichmann Engineering. We converted our garage in order to house our new brewing kit. There were several challenges that we needed to overcome to be fully compliant with planning regulations and after jumping several hurdles we were officially registered as a small commercial brewery in April 2010. Only a few months passed before we found ourselves running out of garage space so the search was on to find premises elsewhere. Late September 2010 we were lucky enough to find a suitable unit on Church Lane Estate in Lower Beeding, Horsham. Within 18 months we ran out of space again but were offered a new-build barn conversion right next door. In 2012 we moved into the Pole Barn and installed a brand new 8bbl brewing system built by Elite Fabrications. In 2018 work began to extend the barn which allowed us space to build a bigger cold room, production area and create Kissingate's taproom bar.

Our aim is to continue producing high quality beers whilst maintaining a friendly and social environment that everyone can enjoy.
